About Apical Horticulture
Peter Lickorish
I am the owner of Apical Horticulture, my business offering a range of practical and educational horticultural services. I was awarded the RHS Master of Horticulture (MHort) in 2020 and now teach on this qualification.
Having worked in horticultural education in a variety of roles for almost a decade — technician, lecturer and course lead — I have decided to take the plunge and offer horticulture courses myself! I hold a Professional Graduate Certificate of Education and take an innovative approach to teaching the varied and expansive world of horticulture.
The gardening strand of the business has been built up over nearly 10 years. I work with private customers in domestic gardens to curate what they are looking for, whether that involves an occasional extra pair of hands, or caring for all of the garden’s maintenance.
I also offer horticultural talks to garden clubs and societies, and have been doing this since I was a teenager! I am passionate about sharing horticultural knowledge and skills… and always learning more myself!

The name
What does Apical mean?
Apical refers to the apex, or tip of the plant, packed with tissue for growth. Growth is what we’re all about — whether that’s knowledge, a skill, or a home garden.
Where would you like to start?
A course place, a garden that needs attention, or a talk for your society.
